Enjoy a carefree winter in this traditional Spanish house in the heart of Otívar, a typical white mountain village in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. This modernized, family owned house sleeps six in two double bedrooms and a bunk bedroom. Bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchen-diner is equipped with electric oven, fridge and microwave. The lounge has a satellite TV (freeview english language channels) and a wood burning stove giving extra comfort on cooler winter evenings. The bathroom has been newly fitted. Living accommodation is on one level although there is a large basement with a storage area and a washing machine.
The wide roof terrace has stunning views over the river valley of the Rio Verde, where swimmers can enjoy waterfalls and fresh water lagoons. In the distance are the hills of the Sierra de Almijara. Beneath the terrace is the property's small orchard with its Seville orange and custard apple trees. In the street outside there is a bustling market every Thursday.
Getting There. Otívar is about 1.5 hrs drive on good roads from either Malaga or Granada airports, or 2.5 hrs from Almería airport.
